Welcome to the USS Asgard, a proud member of Obsidian Fleet!

This is an 18+ SIMM.

This is the USS Asgard, a Norway class ship set up to survey and explore the many space anomalies in and along the Federations many borders. Currently The Asgard is assigned to the Phendara Drifts to take samples and readings of the composition of the drifts. Her previous Captain was slain on his last mission, The Asgard suffered heavy losses and severe damage on that last outing. The ship was hammered by Breen Raiders who had recently become more active in the sector. So now with a new Commander, a new crew and repairs completed the Asgard is returning. Not a ship of war by any means she does have teeth and a dedicated crew. Starfleet Command does not want a war so the Asgard has the added duty of finding out why the Breen are so interested in this area. The Norway is basically equal to a Breen frigate, but they seldom travel alone and the Norway class would have no choice but to run from a pack of them! So finding out why the Breen are here is not going to be an easy task.

USS Asgard was voted the SIMM of the year for 2013

Welcome to Adventure, to take the chance to risk it all. Winning is the only option as losing means a cold death. The Asgard is one of the most comfortable berths in the Fleet with spacious rooms and accommodations for even the lowest ranks. Live well and enjoy life as it may be short!!

» The Obsidian SIMM of the year

Posted on Fri Feb 28th, 2014 @ 8:06pm by Captain Raymond Wulfe in General News

I tell everyone this is the best crew around. We as a whole are creative, active, and our stories in my opinion are as good as anything you buy at a bookstore. The reason for this pat on the back for us all is in our first full year we have won the Obsidian Fleet SIMM of the year. I believe all of you have earned this and it is an honor.

==From the fleet==

'lo folks,

As promised, the Fleet Council has concluded its voting and we can now announce the Sim of the Year 2013. Yahoo Groups really need a drum roll effect...

USS ASGARD of the White Tigers Task Group in Task Force 72 is the Sim of the Year 2013! Congratulations to Capt. Wulfe and his crew! And, yes, I do believe this is the first time that the four End of the Year Awards were won by characters and sims in just one task force.

Okay Guys,
It's that time of year again. We are approaching the end of the year and that means that the ballot boxes are now open for your nominations for the Character of the Year, William Riker XO of the Year and James T Kirk CO of the Year awards.
Please pass this onto your crews so they can decide if they wish to nominate anyone, T*CO's i suggest you wait for a little while before sending in your CO of the year nominations so as to give the CO's and crew in your TG's a chance to submit nominations if they wish.
Character of the Year
How to nominate – COs nominate to the Fleet Services Director. Members of crews can also nominate anyone they feel deserving of this award. These nominations must be approved by the sim's CO. Only one nomination can go forward from each sim.

» More awards, July (a bit late) and october

Posted on Mon Nov 18th, 2013 @ 8:21pm by Captain Raymond Wulfe in General News

I have to say this crew has fun! And it shows. The units of the month I have explained before, and normally you can not receive awards back to back months. However there was a snafu, people had real life issues and we received a Gold award for August. Now they have just sent out the July awards recently and we were awarded the Silver for July. I contacted the person handing out the awards and was told we would retain both awards. So that means we have an additional Silver this year.

It is my pleasure to announce we have just received the Bronze award for October as well. Out of 22 possible ships in our Task force (admittedly several are open each month) we have won a Silver and two Bronze awards. We have also taken the Gold twice this year, which is given to the top Silver award that month.

I wish to congratulate you all, and I hope you continue to enjoy our times together here!

Raymond of the Asgard
